The bedrooms and bathrooms
The bedrooms
Bedroom 1 - located on the ground floor, has a large double bed. The large mirrored fitted wardrobes offers large hanging space for clothing and also a special sliding trouser hanger, also built in draws and plenty of shelf space. A separate 5 draw chest of draws offers additional storage space There is a flat screen tv with the main French television channels as well as the French TNT channels. The floor is the original wooden floor giving an additional feeling of warmth to the bedroom.
FIRST FLOOR
The first floor has been designed to be an integral part of the house but also as a self contained unit. At the top of the stairs the 2nd bedroom is straight ahead and there is a gallery passage way which goes across to a small study area and the second bathroom. Once upstairs you can be seperate from the rest of the house but at the same time you can be quietly watching from the gallery to see what is going on downstairs!
Bedroom 2 - accessed by the new oak open plan staircase it is located on the first floor. Incorporated in amongst the original beams of the house it has twin beds, a hanging area for clothes and a large chest of draws and a bedside draw unit for additional storage. The room is uniqely closed off by the use of a drop down curtain ,closing it off from the rest of the house. It also has flat screen tv with French TV channels and French TNT channels
There are 2 bathrooms, one situated on the ground floor and the other on the first floor.
Bathroom 1 is on the ground floor and has 2 stone sinks on a teek timber free standing unit, a large double shower with adjustable powerful shower head. It is fully tiled and the floor is of black granite tiles. There is a heated towel rail and large mirror.
There is a separate wc/cloakroom next to the ground floor bathroom. The wc/cloakroom is situated next to the bathroom on the ground floor. It has a dual eco flush and is half tiled in local burgundian stone. The floor is of limestone. There is an angle sink and small unit for storage of towels etc
Bathroom 2 is situated on the first floor and is accessed from bedroom 2 by a gallery passage. The bathroom is fully equiped with a shower,sink and wc. It retains the character of the original beams of the building which form a part of the room. The bathroom is tiled to full height around the shower,sink and wc areas;
The floor is of solid bamboo.
The shower has both a solid fixed rain style head and also a detachable hand shower head.
